No. 14 - Song - Sinclair and Girls

MIDI File

Sinclair: Pictured in Kimona ornamental
Sits a little figure oriental,
Upon a paper fan, a maiden of Japan,
Such as you see carved in ivory.
Girls: As I see in thee.
Sinclair: Just a little jewel of a Geisha,
But in that small Island off in Asia,
Those eyes and hair of jet are of a sad coquette;
Fascinating, fickle, fancy free.
Girls: Who can she be, I wonder?
Sinclair: Laughing, little almond eyes,
Sitting taking tea,
Blackeyed maid of eastern skies,
Listen to my plea,
If your tiny face of tan
Is like this one on the fan,
Look no further, I'm your man,
Save one kiss for me,
Girls: One kiss?
Sinclair: Just a single kiss you surely never would miss.

Sinclair: Resting blissfully in some fair bower,
Quite unconscious of my love, fair flower,
You, by your magic art, have fairly won my heart.
Could a maiden with such eyes be true?
Girls: If I only knew.
Sinclair: Promise me that you'll be mine for ever.
Promise that our hearts shall never sever.
Then we'll go hand in hand all through your lotus land
In a little riksha of bamboo.
Girls: Alone with you I'll wander.
Sinclair: Laughing, little almond eyes,
Sitting taking tea,
Blackeyed maid of eastern skies,
Listen to my plea,
If your tiny face of tan
Is like this one on the fan,
Look no further, I'm your man,
Save one kiss for me,
Girls: One kiss?
Sinclair: Just a single kiss you surely never would miss.
