MIDI File

Toby: I'll ask the fatal question now,
But 'ow, but 'ow shall I begin it.
I soy, Doll, caun't ye listen to a chap
For just a minute, for just a minute.
Doll: He's not the sort of chap a young girl dreams of, is he?
Toby: I say, Doll.
Doll: Go way, you silly booby, can't you see I'm busy?
Toby: Say D-D-D-D-Dolly, though you use me very badly,
Blimy for a silly but I loves yer jest the sime.
Doll: Ha ha ha ha.
Toby: What's to laugh at I don't see.
Doll: Ha ha ha ha, you are not the lad for me.
Toby: What, I am not?
Doll: No, you are not.
You're not the kind of lad for me.
Toby (dolefully):  Ha ha ha ha.
Doll: The lad that comes my little heart to court
Toby: Ha ha ha ha.
Doll: Must be a very, very dif'rent sort.
Toby: Ha ha ha ha.
Doll: Excuse my smile.
Toby: I make her smile.
Doll: You're not my style.
Toby: Why so?
Doll: Go away!
Toby: I don't know,
Doll: Go away!
Toby: Good day.

Doll: Perhaps I'm rather too romantic
But a noble Duke I long to wed,
Who despises common folk
And wears an ermine cloak
With coronet on head.
Toby: A Duchess! The idee is frantic
But to win your hand a Dook I'd be.
With me eye-glass in my eye I'd walk this wy.
If ye want a noble Dook, tike me.
Doll: I vow, I'll wed a Duke
Toby: Tike me.
Doll: Don't be so free.
Both: Yes, a Duchess I/she would be.
Bread and cheese and kisses,
Ne'er shall be for me.
But the cash one misses.
Give me L. S. D.
Love in Cottage blisses
With me don't agree,
Doll: I'll wed Duke or Earl,
Go to some other girl
Both: with your/my bread and cheese and kisses.

Doll: A highway man, a bold and free one
P'raps could win me for his blooming bride
With a mask rip on his face,
Of pistols too a brace
Could win for me his bride.
Toby: An outlaw! For your sike I'd be one,
Then your money or your life 'twould be.
If you'd only give me hope I'd resk the rope.
If ye want a Highwayman, tike me.
Doll: A Highwayman I'll wed.
Toby: Tike me.
Doll: Don't be so free.
Toby: Yes, a Highwayman I'll be.
Both: Bread and cheese and kisses,
She'll not share with me.
Cash she thinks she misses ever!
Give her L. S. D., L. S. D.
Love in Cottage blisses
With me don't agree,
Doll: I'll wed Duke or Earl,
Go to some other girl
Both: with your/my bread and cheese and kisses.
Doll: Bread and cheese,
Toby: Bread and cheese,
Both: with your bread and cheese and kisses.
