No. 6 - Song - Rudolph - "Is Love A Dream?"

MIDI File

Rudolph: Is love a dream that fades with dawn of day
Too sweet to last when night has passed away
Or will its magic haunt me to the end
Though she be false who once was more than friend?
Can I forget with all their summer shine
The golden hours that link'd her life with mine?
Can I forget with ev'ry pulse astir,
The path of roses that I trod with her?
No charm can ever teach me to forget
That day of days when she and I first met.
And since I may not worship at her throne
No other love my loyal heart shall own.

As through the world I wander far and wide
Without her hand my lonely way to guide
No other face to me seems half so fair
No other voice with music fills the air.
Her heart was mine and all her love my own
In that sweet summertime for ever flown
Whose happy hours by dearest memories graced
Their tender legend on my heart have traced!
No charm can ever teach me to forget
That day of days when she and I first met
And since I may not worship at her throne
No other love my loyal heart shall own.
