No. 25 - Additional Song - Bobbie and Chorus

MIDI File

Bobbie: Attracted I was by a maiden
I met in London Town.
A dear little creature with sad and a pensive frown.
I wondered wherever the girl came from,
I just longed to know the sweet thing.
Then I was inspired, for at once I admired
A sweet fluffy dog on a string.
For she led a white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
I thought now where does that girl come from,
And where has she purchased her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ...ranian,
In her gown a geranium,
Given by cousin Tom.
I ne'er shall forget the day I first met
That girl and her pom, pom, pom.
Chorus: Pommeranian.
Bobbie: She led a white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
I thought now where does that girl come from,
And where has she purchased her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ...ranian,
In her gown a geranium,
Given by cousin Tom.
I ne'er shall forget the day I first met
That girl and her pom, pom, pom.

Bobbie: And then she stood looking at me
with a coy and timid air,
And so I had courage to speak to this damsel fair,
I took her to dinner and then the play,
When something distressing occurred.
I heard her express I've lost my address!
And my little pom-pom, on my word.
For she'd lost her white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
Whistling and shouting out Tom, Tom, Tom.
What had become of her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ...ranian,
We rushed down Drury Lanium
To get information from
An old friend of mine, but he'd not seen a sign
Of that little girl's pom, pom, pom.
Chorus: Pommeranian.
Bobbie: She'd lost her white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
Whistling and shouting out Tom, Tom, Tom.
What had become of her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ...ranian,
We rushed down Drury Lanium
To get information from
An old friend of mine, but he'd not seen a sign
Of that little girl's pom, pom, pom.

Bobbie: And then we went searching in vain
All thro' the fog and wet,
At last I discovered a boy with my darling's pet.
She kissed it, and hugged it, and cried with joy,
I ventured to say "Be my wife."
I found the canine of this maiden divine,
And now she's my partner for life.
For I found her white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
Ev'ryone asks where my luck came from;
I say 'twas thro' finding her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ...ranian,
There's no need to explanium
Why we've a son named Tom,
My advice to you girls
If you want to wed earls
You should purchase a pom, pom, pom.
Chorus: Pommeranian.
Bobbie: I found her white pommeranian,
With a bow round its cranium;
Ev'ryone asks where my luck came from;
I say 'twas thro' finding her...
Chorus: Pom-pom —
Bobbie: ... ranian,
There's no need to explanium
Why we've a son named Tom,
My advice to you girls
If you want to wed earls
You should purchase a pom, pom, pom.
