No. 16 - Song - Peggy and Chorus - "The Sandow Girl."

MIDI File

Peggy: The Gibson girl and the Bath bun girl,
All the world has come to know.
We like them both and are rather loth
to see either of them go.
But there's a type that can crown them all;
You need not have looks or wealth,
For the girl I mean is the Sandow Queen,
The Queen of all English health!
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
Even Sandow, I think, would be frighten'd to wink
At his Sandow girl.
Chorus: Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
Peggy: Even Sandow, I think, would be frighten'd to wink
Chorus: At his Sandow girl.

Peggy: There's the braw Scotch lassie who plays at golf,
And is on the green in two.
There's the English girl who will play at tennis
And wins the summer through;
There's the Irish woman who rides to hounds
And the country proudly scours;
They have pluck and cheek
And a grand physique,
Still they cannot compare with ours!
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
Even Sandow, I think, would be frighten'd to wink
At his Sandow girl.
Chorus: Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
Peggy: Even Sandow, I think, would be frighten'd to wink
Chorus: At his Sandow girl.

Peggy: There's the girl who motors, the girl who swims,
There's the girl who drives a team.
There's the girl who handles the rod and line
And wades knee-deep in the stream--
At croquet, cricket and football too
Some girls of course excel,
But I think I've shown we can hold our own
And two of three more as well!
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
You don't need the police
if your wife or your niece
Is a Sandow girl.
Chorus: Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
Oh, the Sandow, Sandow girl,
She is smooth and slim and supple,
And compared with any couple of other girls,
The Sandow, Sandow girl
Is a priceless, peerless pearl.
Peggy: You don't need the police
If your wife or your niece
Chorus: Is a Sandow girl.
