No. 3 - Duet - Delia and Vernon - Love.

MIDI File

Vernon: There is a fever that few understand,
You must take care when it is there!
Doctors cannot take such cases in hand,
Cupid declares this sort of thing contraband!
Don't be nervous, if you please,
The symptoms are these:
When you're lazy,
All the world is May and mazy,
Ev'ry little weed a daisy,
Blue the sky above;
Brain all reeling —
Are you on the floor or ceiling?
When you have that kind of feeling,
You may know it's Love!

Delia: When you're in love all your life is a song,
Ev'rything shows, couleur de rose;
But when the first lovers' tiff comes along,
Life is a blank and ev'rything goes all wrong!
Call it by another name,
It's Love just the same!
When you're grumpy,
Very, very down and dumpy,
Terribly depress'd and humpy,
Black the sky above,
One or t'other
Wants to run away to mother,
When you simply hate each other,
Then you know it's Love!
(Both hum)
Both: When you simply hate each other,
Then you know it's Love!
