THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

(Mr.) A. Alexander (1899-1901)

Mr. A. Alexander is known to have been in the Savoy chorus for the 1899 revival of Trial by Jury (making an occasional appearance in the non-singing role of the Associate) and H.M.S. Pinafore, the 1900 revival of Patience, and for the original production of The Emerald Isle in 1901. It seems likely that he remained in the chorus for the intervening original production of The Rose of Persia (1899-1900) and the 1900 revival of The Pirates of Penzance.
