According to the Stage Manager’s log for D’Oyly Carte’s First Repertory Season (1906-07), a Mr. Allen substituted as the Headsman in The Yeomen of the Guard for a few performances in February 1907, and a Mr. R. Allen filled in as Annibale in The Gondoliers on occasion in March.
