E. D. Barker (1881)

Baritone E. D. Barker appeared as a chorister with one of two R. D’Oyly Carte and E. E. Rice Opera Companies playing Billee Taylor in America in the Spring of 1881.   On May 19, 1881, he took the role of Samuel in the first act of ThePirates of Penzance in a testimonial benefit matinee in honor of Helen Lenoir at New York’s Standard Theatre.
