Herbert Brook (1886-87)

Herbert Brook's association with the D'Oyly Carte organization was principally as business manager of various touring companies, a capacity in which he served from June 1879 to February 1898. Maurice Farrar, in his book "The Gilbert & Sullivan Alphabet of Artistes," reports that Brook also appeared on stage as a chorister in 1886 and 1887, presumably with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "D" Company.
