Tenor Cecil Cook joined the D’Oyly Carte Repertory Opera Company chorus in February 1919. In September of that year he transferred to the D’Oyly Carte "New" Opera Company, where in December, he took his only named part with the Company, Francesco in The Gondoliers. Cook left the D’Oyly Carte organization in January 1920 to join the Carl Rosa Opera Company.It was with Carl Rosa that he had his one appearance in a London Stage program:as Sante in a single performance of The Secret of Suzanne (Covent Garden, December 14, 1920).
