Doris Cameron (1915-19)

Doris Cameron took small parts in New York in several musical shows spanning 1908, when she played Nora Mooney in Nearly a Hero at the Casino, and 1912, when she appeared in Whirl of Society with the Winter Garden Company.

She served in the D’Oyly Carte Repertory Opera Company chorus for four seasons—from July 1915 to June 1919.  She filled in briefly as Lady Psyche in Princess Ida (August 1916) and the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury (November 1916).

Miss Cameron was married to D’Oyly Carte baritone, and later stage manager, Frederick Hobbs.
