[[Born Camden, London 5 May 1864, died Kensington, London 2 Apr 1927]

Baritone Augustus Oliver Cramer was a chorister with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "D" ("Princess Ida" No. 1) Company on the first provincial tour of Princess Ida, February 4-December 6,1884. His D'Oyly Carte career reportedly ended in 1885. He later toured in Cellier and Stephenson's Dorothy in 1887, and on that tour married another ex-D'Oyly Carter, Mary Webb.

In London, Cramer created the role of Tortennssen in Gilbert & Carr's His Excellency! (Lyric, 1894-95), and later appeared in The Gay Parisienne (Duke of York's, 1896), Dorothy (a single matinee at the Gaiety, 1897), and The Girls of Gottenberg (Gaiety, 1907-08).

He also played Tortennssen in New York (Broadway Theatre, October-December 1895), as well as appearing there in the musical comedy Monte Carlo (Herald Square, 1898).
