[Born St. John's Wood, London c.1859, died c.1945]

Arthur Du Pasquier, full name Arthur Du Pasquier Yates, was a chorus member on tour with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's No. 1 "Patience" Company "B" from March to December 1882. In August 1882 he married fellow D'Oyly Carte artist Clara Deveine.

In 1884, Clara and Arthur moved to Scotland, where they appeared together in Claudian at Edinburgh's Empire Theatre. A year later, as Arthur Yates, he made his London debut as Colonel Brandon in the drama Human Nature at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Yates later went into theatre management--first as secretary (and front-of-house manager) to Augustus Harris at Drury Lane, later as acting manager and business manager for several London theatres in the early 1890s.

From 1910 to 1916, he ran the "Cinematograph Theatre" in Kilburn. He left England for Canada in 1921.
