Bessie Graves was a chorister on tour with D’Oyly Carte's American Utopia Limited Company, appearing in New York and Boston between March and June 1894.

There was a Miss Greaves who appeared briefly as Kalyba in Utopia on tour in November 1894. It seems possible, even likely, that this was the same lady.
