Daisy Harris was a chorister with the D'Oyly Carte "New" Opera Company from September 1919 to September 1922. Her first named part was Inez in The Gondoliers, which she played from December 1920 to May 1921. During the 1921-22 season she was the regular Giulia in The Gondoliers and filled in on occasion as Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance. She began the next season with Giulia in addition to her chorus duties but left the D'Oyly Carte in September 1922.
