Emily Hebden (1890-94)

Soprano Emily Hebden toured with three different D'Oyly Carte Opera companies in the early 1890s. She was Kate in The Yeomen of the Guard with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D" between August and December 1890, took several roles at various times (Peep-Bo and Yum-Yum in The Mikado, Kate in Yeomen, and Fiametta and Casilda in The Gondoliers) with Company "C" during 1891, and then toured from January to December 1892 with Company "B," where her duties appear to have been limited to the chorus until December when she deputized as Winifred in The Vicar of Bray. Her last named part with the D'Oyly Carte organization was Celia in Iolanthe with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "C" in January 1894.
