THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Ernest Hire (1925-26)
After two weeks with the D'Oyly Carte "New" Opera Company, tenor chorister Ernest Hire joined the D'Oyly Carte Repertory Opera Company, serving from July 1925 to November 1926.
He later appeared in London in the revue The House that Jack Built (Adelphi and Winter Garden, 1929-30), the musical comedy Follow a Star (Winter Garden, 1930-31), and the musical drama The Immortal Hour (Queen's, 1932).
