Tenor Sidwell Jones, real name Thomas Henry Jones, had a brief career with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at the Savoy.He appeared in the tiny part of Third Student in the Barrie, Conan Doyle, and Ford opera Jane Annie (May-July 1893) and (in June and July of that year) as Viscount Ramsgate in the Greenbank and Ford curtain raiser Mr. Jericho.They were his only known roles on the London Stage.

Jones became well-known as a singer and teacher of singing in North London.He was the tenor in a quartet called the "Palace Singers," and was also an organ builder and minor composer.
