THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Arthur Lorraine (1880-83)

Arthur Lorraine appears to have spent a few years in the D'Oyly Carte organization in the early 1880s. He was in the chorus with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "Second 'Pinafore' Company" in February 1880, and took his only named part as Mr. Wallaby in Desprez & Solomon's one-act companion piece Quite an Adventure with Carte's "Pinafore" and "Pirates" Company between January and September 1883. He was married to fellow chorister Lottie Carlotta.
