Jillian Mascall (1979-80)

Soprano Jillian Paula Mascall spent five years at the Royal Academy of Music, and appeared as a soprano soloist for Handel's Messiah and Brahms' Requiem at Royal Albert Hall, before joining the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in January 1979. During the 1979-80 season she filled in on occasion for principal sopranos as Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, Elsie Maynard in The Yeomen of the Guard, and Gianetta in The Gondoliers.

She left the Company in August 1980, and later lived in Yorkshire where she worked as a music teacher.
