Margaret Oakley (1881-83)

Margaret Oakley, real name Margaret Hodgkinson, was a chorister on tour with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "E" Company in April 1881. In 1882 she was with Carte's No. 1 "Pirates" Company, appearing in November of that year as Mrs. Sandford in the farce The Silent Woman that shared the bill with The Pirates of Penzance. From December 1882 to July 1883 she toured with another D'Oyly Carte Company in the small parts of Sarah and the Second Lieutenant in Planquette's Rip Van Winkle.
