Alison Parker studied for four years at the Royal College of Music in London and from there joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in July 1965. She appeared in the chorus of the Company's 1966 film of The Mikado, and in April 1977 took over the part of Fleta in Iolanthe. She married fellow D'Oyly Carte chorister Brian Peach in May 1968.

In September 1968 she was given three more small named parts:First Bridesmaid in Trial by Jury, Chloe in Princess Ida, and Giulia in The Gondoliers, all of which she played, along with Fleta, for the rest of her tenure with the Company. On occasion she also substituted in two other parts:as Ruth in Ruddigore (1967-68), and Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance (1968-69). Miss Parker left the Company in August 1970.
