Juliette Piemonte, born Ellen Elizabeth Pearman, was reportedly a contralto chorister and understudy with the Comedy Opera Company's touring "A" Company, later known as Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "First 'Pinafore' Company," from July to December 1879. She may have filled in on occasion as Little Buttercup in the nautical opera.
