John H. Poskitt (1894-96)

John Herbert Poskitt (or Poskett) appeared as Tarara, the public exploder, with D'Oyly Carte's American Utopia Limited Company from March to June 1894, was in the Utopian chorus with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "B" in June and July, then took up Tarara again and with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "A" from July to December 1894. He joined D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "B" in 1895, and played Ben Hashbaz in The Grand Duke with that Company from April to December 1896.

Upon leaving the D'Oyly Carte, Poskett appeared on tour with another ex-D'Oyly Carter, J. Brandon Phillips, in a vocal and dramatic duet act--"Brandon and Bishop." The pair dissolved their partnership in December 1897.
