Joseph Ritte (1908-09)

Joseph Ritte, real name Joseph Rittenberg, was a chorister for the last months of the Second London Repertory Season, appearing from November 1908 until March 1909.

He was the Second Gardener in the comic opera Love and Laughter (Lyric, 1913); and a Mr. Ritte (possibly Joseph) was the Fourth Footman in the musical play Nightbirds (Lyric, 1911).

Ritte's older brother Philip had appeared with the D'Oyly Carte chorus at the Savoy between 1899 and 1901.
