Brian Sharpe in The Gondoliers

Brian Sharpe (1967-72, 1974-75)

Tenor Brian Sharpe served in the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus from March 1966 until August 1972, and again from December 1974 to May 1975, a period including the D'Oyly Carte Centenary season at the Savoy. He died less than a year later.

Sharpe was the regular First Yeoman in The Yeomen of the Guard for two seasons (1970-72), and filled in from time to time as First Yeoman (1968-69), Leonard Meryll in The Yeomen of the Guard (1969-70), and Francesco in The Gondoliers (1974-75).
