THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Eva Stanley (1876)

Eva Stanley sang the role of Friedchen in The Duke's Daughter with Selina Dolaro's Company, under the joint management of Richard D'Oyly Carte and George Dolby, at London's Royalty Theatre beginning in January 1876. The Duke's Daughter moved to the Globe where it played in February, and then the Charing Cross where it ran until March 11. Miss Stanley's association with D'Oyly Carte ended with that production.
