THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

(Miss) Taylor (1887-88)

A Miss Taylor was in the chorus with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company that toured the European continent in The Mikado and Patience between April 1887 and February 1888.

It has been suggested that she may have been Jenny Taylor (born c.1850, died 22 May 1931), who was married to D'Oyly Carte baritone R. H. Edgar. If so, she appeared in London (as Mrs. Richard Edgar) in 1900 (In the Soup, Strand Theatre) and 1902 (The Best of Friends, Drury Lane).
