Laura Walsh (1880-82)

Laura Walsh was a chorister with D'Oyly Carte touring companies between 1880 and 1882. She began with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "Second 'Pinafore' Company (later "A" Company) in 1880. She eventually transferred to Carte's "E" Company, where she was Matilda McTavish in the Hughes & Halton curtain-raiser Six & Six (May 1881), and then to the No. 1 "Patience" Company where she played the Lady Angela in Patience from August to October 1882.

(It has been suggested that Laura Walsh and Annie Walsh, who appeared in "H.M.S. Pinafore" with Comedy Opera Company "B" in 1879, may be the same lady.)
