Bessie Wilkinson was the principal soprano on tour with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "E" Company from March 1884 to March 1887. She appeared as Phyllis in Iolanthe (March 1884-May 1885) and Patience in Patience (July 1884-May 1885), before serving as Yum-Yum in the first provincial production of The Mikado (May 1885-March 1887).
