No. 15 - Duet - Soo Soo and Tom

MIDI File

Tom: Along the way where lovers go
The roses red are twining,
And ev'ry summer cloud, you know,
Can boast a silver lining.
For hope is high when hearts are young,
The world is gay with laughter,
And life, when marriage bells have rung,
Is happy ever after.
Both: When man to maid proposes —
O, day of dear delight!
For heav'n itself uncloses
To happy mortals sight.
Tom: Then strew...
Soo Soo: Then strew the way with roses,
Both: With roses red and white.
Then strew the way with roses,
With roses red and white.

Soo Soo: When lover woos his lady sweet
And vows his fond submission,
He lays an empire at her feet,
An autocrat's position!
No queen is prouder then than she
With pomp of state around her.
Her lightest wish is stern decree,
For love himself has crown'd her!
Both: When man to maid proposes —
O, day of dear delight!
For heav'n itself uncloses
To happy mortals sight.
Tom: Then strew...
Soo Soo: Then strew the way with roses,
Both: With roses red and white.
Then strew the way with roses,
With roses red and white.
With roses red, and roses white.
